New Bluetooth Standard Will Mean Better Devices for You

Bytecafe Consulting Bluetooth LogoThe latest version of Bluetooth has already arrived in many of our Indianapolis small business computer outsourcing customers' offices.  It came out first in the Motorola Droid Razrs and the iPhone 4Ss and is now included in the latest version of the Apple iPad. There is a very good chance that you did not even notice that there was a change.  This is because they are compatible with the Bluetooth 2 and 3 standards. Soon, you will have accessories (mice, keyboards, and other gadgets) that will take full advantage of the new standards.  You will then need to decide if you need to upgrade your accessories.

The biggest benefit you will see with the new Bluetooth standard, is the energy efficiency. With this new standard, battery longevity can increase by 5 to 10 times depending on individual usage.  Experts say that a traditional wireless mouse and keyboard using the new protocol could possibly last for five to seven years before needing a fresh battery--likely outlasting the life of the product.

Another benefit of the new standard is that it is easier to pair your devices. This, at times, can be very cumbersome even for people inside of my Indianapolis IT support services company.
